Hi Guys,
Hope you can help, Im running Redhat 7.0 Kde on the box, and Ive no idea
how to setup the usb-. (Creative Lab 2)
Does anyone have any info along these lines.
You might want to start at some of the links below. Youll likely have
to build a new kernel, best to build it on kernel version 2.4.2 |
| Once I do put together a solution with FreeBSD, I hope to write up the
instructions and send them to be posted on FreeBSDDiary.org. Then
everyone can build a nice . I would even put up the configs for
PicoBSD if I go that route. |
| The ixTV software itself is running fine, and I can capture single frames
or video to the hard disk quite well. Im using the latest version of the
software (v2.10 build 833), and have tried this under system 8.5.1 and
8.6, with quicktime 3 and 4, and with virtual memory on and off. Ive also
tried it with only the ixtv vdig, ethernet, and open transport enabled.
This is all running on a beige G3 with a 2 gb and a 4gb hd and 384 mb RAM. |
| I believe the Yellowstone Park Foundation is a quasi-governmental
organization, one among many authorized by Congress, and usually called
cooperating associations.
These organizations operate in the national parks to sell books,
slides, etc. Their profits all go back to benefit the national parks.
For example the Rocky Mountain Associates in Rocky Mountain National Park
recently raised $2 million to build a new visitor center at the Fall River
Etrance. This project was explicitly approved by Congress.
The profits they take in, as well as monies solicited from individuals
and corporations, are spend in land acquisition (inholdings), construction of
handicapped trails, remodeling museums, new museum exhibits, etc.
Bob Berger can rest assured that this organization, while not
strictly governmental, nevertheless work -- with Congressional approval --
to rais money strictly for the benefit of national parks and monuments.
Im surprised if he visits national parks that he is not aware. |

if somebody else turned the gathering into the mess that it is these days,
then it can be turned into something else thats better. I dont think the
gatherings will go back to what they once were, but I wish it could. I think
everyone wants to see a better gathering, but I could be wrong. The only
true unity I have felt at a gathering was whenever there was a concensus.
Every issue at the gathering has fors and againsts. I guess I have a hard
time making clear modularized thinking as it applies to service/interest
based economics and revenue sharing, coops & communities.
Last time we had a chance to talk in person was in Arizona, and
since then the internet stuff Ive been working on has changed my view that
life just keeps getting worse. I feel a sense of hope from the projects I
work on. I truly believe that it is a great alternative to working for
someone else and for creative community building. A tool for Visions of
starving artists. I just cant function in mainstream soc. |
