| i have compiled some instructions and software for the self-builder.
the soft is designed to control the toy via http-pages and to work in
parallel with a video program, netmeet for example. the simplest way to
bulid the hardware is to connect a swithching transistor to the parallel
port, which gives simple on-off control. more sophisticated versions witf a
16 step speed control are possible and have been tested. |
| An idea Ive been thinking of, is to get a cheapo video camera, and hook it
up to a video sender. My video capture card has a TV tuner build in, and so
the PC could receive live video from the bot, and with Microsoft Media
encoder, could even stream a live feed on the internet. (No programming
required on the PC end to achieve this) |
| /usr/include/linux/version.h:2: #error
=======================================================
/usr/include/linux/version.h:3: #error You should not include
/usr/include/{linux,asm}/ header
/usr/include/linux/version.h:4: #error files directly for the compilation
of kernel modules.
/usr/include/linux/version.h:5: #error
/usr/include/linux/version.h:6: #error glibc now uses kernel header files
from a well-defined
/usr/include/linux/version.h:7: #error working kernel version (as
recommended by Linus Torvalds)
/usr/include/linux/version.h:8: #error These files are glibc internal and
may not match the
/usr/include/linux/version.h:9: #error currently running kernel. They
should only be
/usr/include/linux/version.h:10: #error included via other system header
files - user space
/usr/include/linux/version.h:11: #error programs should not directly
include or
/usr/include/linux/version.h:12: #error as well.
/usr/include/linux/version.h:13: #error
/usr/include/linux/version.h:14: #e. |

| Philips audio driver:
Doesnt work in NM (no volume control so disabled recording facilities
in NM). Philips tries to help me but their e-mail support is taking a
lot of time (1 week between question and answer, etc.) I saw that NM
sp 1 solved a problem with another Philips so I thought, maybe
sp2 solves my audio problem like sp1 did for the other Philips .
Ive got a work-around though: connecting an external microphone and
using my Yamaha soundcard driver (perfect sound but I prefer to use
the build-in microphone from Philips, I paid 400 French Francs extra
for this build-in microphone, apart from the video) |
